I have decided, blogging is my way of "dealing". :) So I thought I'd start a new one to share our family's new adventure as Nick heads off to Basic Training.
Nick is 17 and has been in the Utah Army National Guard since he started his senior year of High School. He has had the great opportunity to go to drill once a month, all school year. I'm so thankful for this, because he is much more prepared for what awaits him at Basic Training, than he would have been joining after graduation.
He will be at Ft. Sill, OK, starting June 25th. He will do 10 weeks of Basic Training, and then an additional 7 weeks for Advanced Individual Training. When he is done, he will be stationed about 40 miles away from home. :) Utah Army National Guard... :)
I will use this blog to post updates, and pictures... if I get any ;) ... address changes, and what you can and can not send, if you are so inclined to write him. :0)
